This course is aimed at trainee Scaffolders who require basic scaffolding skills training carried out at an approved centre or on client’s sites. |
Overall Objective: |

To give the attendees such knowledge and skills to enable them to erect, alter and dismantle basic scaffolding structures in traditional tube and fitting and common system scaffolds. Level 1 Scaffolders should only carry out the erection and dismantling of scaffold structures covered within course. They are competent to work as part of a team, but must not lead operations if the work is outside the scope of the training, adequate direct supervision is required at all times. |

CISRS OSTS Scaffolder Level 2

Delegates must complete the CISRS Level 1 Overseas Scaffolder 5 day course and have held the card for at least 6 months. Training can be carried out at an approved centre or on client’s sites. |
Overall Objective: |
To give the attendees such knowledge and skills to enable them to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding structures of an intermediate complexity in traditional tube and fitting and common system scaffolds. Level 2 Scaffolders should only carry out the erection and dismantling of scaffold structures covered within course. This course is aimed at those who are responsible for the supervision, direction and instruction of scaffolding operations e.g. Charge hands, Foreman, Supervisors, Contract Supervisors and Management. |

To give the attendees such knowledge and skills to enable them to supervise, monitor, direct and instruct Scaffolders for scaffolding operations. |

Health & Safety International Best Practice Health and Safety Management Performance Standards NASC Safety and Technical Guidance Design Appreciation Supervisory Skills Competence and Allocating Duties Planning and Organisation, Materials and Logistics Effective Supervision Commissioning and Handover Scaffold Inspections and Inspection Practices Effective Communication (including basic presentation skill, briefings and toolbox talks) Risk Assessment: Delegates are required to undertake a project which contributes to the overall assessment. |

CISRS OSTS Advanced Scaffold Inspection

This course is intended for persons responsible for inspecting and checking scaffolds for safe use and for signing certificates and registers in accordance with statutory and local regulations. Attendance of 12 learners per course. |
Overall Objective: |
Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme (CISRS.)The overall aim is to develop in delegates an understanding of the appropriate local safety regulations and the ability to interpret design specifications technical requirements when inspecting complex/design scaffolding structures. |
