CISRS OSTS Scaffolder Level 1
Duration:
Five Days
Attendees:
This course is aimed at trainee Scaffolders who require basic scaffolding skills training carried out at an approved centre or on client’s sites.
Overall Objective:
To give the attendees such knowledge and skills to enable them to erect, alter and dismantle basic scaffolding structures in traditional tube and fitting and common system scaffolds. Level 1 Scaffolders should only carry out the erection and dismantling of scaffold structures covered within course. They are competent to work as part of a team, but must not lead operations if the work is outside the scope of the training, adequate direct supervision is required at all times.

  • Nine Standard Birdcage Scaffold (2 lifts including foot tie)
  • Practical/Theory Test
Certification::
Successful delegates will receive an Overseas Scaffolder Level 1 Certificate of Training and Record Card. (Renewed every 5 years)

Translator required if instructor cannot speak the language.
Six Months site experience is required before the learner can proceed to L2 training.
Learners to attend training with Safety Harness & Lanyard, boots, hardhat, level, tape, spanners/hammer
CISRS OSTS Scaffolder Level 2
Duration:
Five Days
Attendees:
Delegates must complete the CISRS Level 1 Overseas Scaffolder 5 day course and have held the card for at least 6 months. Training can be carried out at an approved centre or on client’s sites.
Overall Objective:
To give the attendees such knowledge and skills to enable them to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding structures of an intermediate complexity in traditional tube and fitting and common system scaffolds. Level 2 Scaffolders should only carry out the erection and dismantling of scaffold structures covered within course. They are competent to work as part of a team, but must not lead operations if the work is outside the scope of the training, adequate direct supervision is required at all times.

CISRS OSTS Scaffolding Supervisor Course
Duration:
3 days
Attendees:
This course is aimed at those who are responsible for the supervision, direction and instruction of scaffolding operations e.g. Charge hands, Foreman, Supervisors, Contract Supervisors and Management.
Overall Objective:
To give the attendees such knowledge and skills to enable them to supervise, monitor, direct and instruct Scaffolders for scaffolding operations.

CISRS OSTS Basic Scaffold Inspection

This course is aimed at those who are required to carry out safety inspections for basic access, working and special scaffolds.
Overall Objective:
To give the attendees such knowledge and skills to enable them to inspect basic access, working and special scaffolds and complete safety inspection reports.

CISRS OSTS Advanced Scaffold Inspection
Duration:
2 days
Attendees:
This course is intended for persons responsible for inspecting and checking scaffolds for safe use and for signing certificates and registers in accordance with statutory and local regulations. Attendance of 12 learners per course.
Overall Objective:
Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme (CISRS.)The overall aim is to develop in delegates an understanding of the appropriate local safety regulations and the ability to interpret design specifications technical requirements when inspecting complex/design scaffolding structures.
Content:
At the end of the training the learner will be able to:

  • Interpret Scaffold design drawings for inspection purposes and will be able to inspect, and record the findings of such an inspection for:
  • A Basic Design Scaffold
  • Two-Way Shore
  • Raking Shore
  • Dead Shore
  • Slung scaffold
  • Staircase scaffold
  • Temporary Roofs
  • Truss-out scaffold
  • Temporary ramps
  • Cantilever drop
  • Competence is measured by multi choice examination and practical
    scaffold inspection examination
Certification::
CISRS Certificate of training upon completion of course and successful completion of both examinations.
Note:
The Scaffold Inspection qualification requires renewal within every five years.

CISRS OSTS SSPTS Cuplok
Venue:
This training can be delivered on site if suitable theoretical and practical facilities are available.
Duration:
2 days
Prerequisition
Attendees:
Operatives and supervisors who use Cuplok scaffolding during their normal working day.
Overall Objectives:
To give attendees up to date knowledge and training on the safe use of Cuplok scaffolding.
Content:
  • Introduction
  • Overview of system and technical application.
  • Overview of components and configurations
  • Safe system of work at height (SG4 Current Edition)
  • Erect/dismantle 4.2m loading tower from drawing
  • Erect/dismantle 1lift birdcage from drawing
  • Erect/dismantle 4m staircase from drawing
  • Erect/dismantle 3 bay x 1 bay independent with 2 lift return plus table lift from drawing
  • Erect/dismantle 2 bay independent with ladder access from drawing
Assessment:
  • Erect/dismantle 3 bay independent scaffold with 1 board inside platform bracket with a 2 bay return with a 2 board inside platform bracket
  • Theory question paper
  • This is a pass/fail assessment
Note:
Minimum completion of CISRS Part One Tube and Fitting Course required. Following successful completion of this training and assessment, a qualification can be put on the reverse of the Scaffolder CISRS Card. Trainees will receive CISRS Certification Only
